A voice for art music.
The Coro Harmonia Vocalis was born at the end of 2019 as the artistic voice of the Associazione Culturale Musicale Roma Musicanta, founded in 2018 to spread art music across Rome.

The idea came from a few singers: to make musical culture accessible to an audience wider than the one that goes to theatres and concert halls.
Listening to art music should not be the privilege of a few, and bringing it to every kind of community is the mission our conductor reminds us never to betray. Those singers looked for, and found, a conductor able to carry this idea: Maestro Claudio Maria Micheli, who has led the choir since its birth and shaped its growth.
The first concert, at the end of 2019, was Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis, performed in Rome and in Segni. Since then we have taken on Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Petite Messe Solennelle, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, Orff’s Carmina Burana and Handel’s Messiah.
The choir is young, but its voices are not: many of our singers have years of experience in other choirs around Rome.
What drives us
We sing to help our listeners feel the value of the musical message, sacred or secular: a universal language that crosses barriers and brings people together. That is why we also support charitable initiatives with our music.
The Maestro reminds us that we are amateur singers, but we must aim to sing like professionals. When the audience applauds at the end of a concert we are happy; even more so when it is the orchestra that shows its appreciation.
